General Objective

To provide awareness in effective and efficient wastewater activated sludge methods and generally accepted wastewater treatment methods.

Course Goals

1. Review conventional wastewater treatment methods.

2. Review activated sludge processes.

3. Review operation and components of clarifiers, and filtration methods.

4. Review analysis of microorganisms and terminology.

5. Review wastewater treatment corrective concerns and measures.

6. Review conventional wastewater lab procedures.

1. The student will be able to understand and describe wastewater treatment processes.
2. The student will be able to understand and describe analysis of water quality criteria-microorganisms, bacteria and terminology.
3. The student will be able to understand and describe specific operation and components of clarifiers, and filtration methods.
